For Punjab, buy a dairy cow like Sahiwal, Gir, HF cross, or Jersey cross. First milk her in your presence, then do a CMT test on all four quarters, check which month of lactation she is in, and see body condition and age. If you want fifteen liters or more daily, one cow will not stay at peak for long; plan two cows with staggered calvings. For any cow above fifty thousand rupees, take a Pashumitra or vet along.
