Calf scours with drying stools is usually from feed upset or mild dehydration. Stop the black salt and millet flour mix for now. Give only clean milk in small, regular feeds, and offer clean water with oral rehydration salts between feeds. Keep the calf warm, dry, and away from dirty bedding. If the stool is very hard, reduce the amount of feed a little and give soft, easy feed only. For a one month old calf, any fever, weakness, sunken eyes, or not drinking well means it needs a vet within twenty four hours. Treating this early is much cheaper than losing growth and milk potential later. Consult a veterinarian before administering any medicine or treatment.
