Repeat breeding in buffalo usually means the heat is weak, the timing of insemination is off, or there is a hidden uterine infection. First, watch for proper standing heat and breed only in the middle of heat. Keep her on good green fodder, enough concentrate, mineral mixture, and clean water. Buffalo also need cooling and wallowing in summer. If she has repeated returns after two or three cycles, get the uterus checked and treat infection if present.
