For dairy, choose Sahiwal, Gir, HF cross, or Jersey cross. First milk the cow in your presence, then do a CMT test on all four quarters. Ask which month of lactation she is in, because month seven or eight cows drop fast. Check age, body condition, and FMD and HS vaccination proof. If the price is above ₹50,000, take a Pashumitra or vet before paying.
