For a dairy cow in your area, a good Sahiwal or Gir usually costs about ₹forty thousand to ₹one lakh fifty thousand. HF cross or Jersey cross can be higher if milk yield is strong. Before paying, milk her in your presence, do a CMT test on all four quarters, check which month of lactation she is in, and verify age and body condition. If the cow is above ₹fifty thousand, take a Pashumitra or vet with you.
