This is tick infestation on your cow, and it should be controlled before it causes weakness, fever, and milk drop. First, do not pull big ticks harshly because the mouth part can remain stuck and make a wound. Remove visible ticks slowly with hand gloves, then clean the bite spots with clean water and antiseptic solution. Keep the shed dry, remove dung daily, and clear bushes or old bedding around the cow, because ticks hide there and come back again. If many ticks are present, your local veterinarian can advise a safe tick control medicine for the cow and also for the shed. Do not use human insect killer or crop pesticide on the cow. Give good feed, mineral mixture, and clean water, because tick load makes the animal weak. If your cow gets fever, stops eating, urine becomes dark, gums look pale, or milk suddenly drops, treat it as tick fever risk and get veterinary help the same day.
