Cow milk is salty

Salty milk usually points to mastitis or an old quarter problem. First, check the udder for heat, pain, swelling, or clots in milk. Milk each quarter separately and do a CMT test if you can. Stop using that milk for sale until it clears. Keep the udder clean and dry, and give good green fodder plus enough water. If the saltiness stays for more than two days, or the udder is hard, call a vet today.
