Cow not taking food properly

Loss of appetite in a cow is often from indigestion, fever, mouth pain, or a stomach problem. First check her temperature, look inside the mouth for sores, and see if the dung is normal. Give clean fresh water, soft green fodder, and a little mineral mixture. Keep her in shade and do not force-feed. If the belly is swollen, she is grinding teeth, or she stops passing dung, treat it as urgent. If she is still not eating well by tomorrow, book a Pashu Vet on Pashushala or call the Kisan Call Centre on eighteen hundred one eight zero one five five one. Treating this early prevents a bigger milk loss and a serious illness.
