Uterotone is usually given when the uterus is weak after delivery or when the placenta is not coming out properly. First make sure the animal is not already straining hard, bloated, or bleeding. Keep her calm, give clean water, and do not force anything inside. If she has not delivered yet, or if there is foul discharge, fever, or severe weakness, this needs a vet today. Consult a veterinarian before administering any medicine or treatment.
