Feed refusal is the main issue here. First check if the cow has fever, mouth sores, loose dung, or a swollen left belly. If she is only off feed, offer fresh green fodder, clean water, and a little mineral mixture with soft bran mash. Keep the shed cool and remove any spoiled feed. If she is not eating for more than one day, or if fever, drooling, bloat, or reduced milk also starts, she needs a vet check today. Treating it early protects milk yield and prevents a bigger loss.
