Gir

Gir is a good dairy cow choice. It usually gives six to ten liters a day, and well managed animals can go up to twelve to fifteen liters. Check milk in your presence, do a CMT test on all four quarters, ask the lactation month, and verify age and body condition. If the price is above ₹50,000, take a Pashumitra or vet along.
