Holstein Friesian (HF) best cow in low price
HF is a good milk cow, but at low price you should look for a healthy crossbred or a young Jersey cross too. A good HF usually costs about eighty thousand to three lakh rupees, so very cheap animals are often old, weak, or already in late lactation. Before paying, milk her in your presence, do a CMT test on all four quarters, check which month of lactation she is in, and verify age and body condition. If the price is above fifty thousand, take a Pashumitra or vet with you.
