How can I increase milk yield?

Low milk yield is usually a feed and management issue. First, give steady feeding times every day. Keep green fodder, dry fodder, and a balanced concentrate together, and add mineral mixture and clean water all the time. Milk her at the same time morning and evening, and make sure the udder is fully emptied. Keep the shed cool, dry, and stress free. If she is in early lactation, good feeding can lift yield quickly. If she is already in the seventh or eighth month of lactation, the yield will naturally fall. Treating feed shortage now is far cheaper than losing milk every day.
