How do I check a cow before buying?
Before paying for any cow, milk her in your presence and see the actual yield. Then do a CMT test on all four quarters. Ask which month of lactation she is in, because month two to three is peak and month seven to eight drops fast. Check age, body condition, calving history, and FMD and HS vaccination proof. If the price is above fifty thousand rupees, take a Pashumitra or vet with you.
