How do I do CMT at home?
CMT is a simple udder check for hidden mastitis. Take the milk from each quarter in the CMT paddle, add equal CMT reagent, and swirl gently for a few seconds. If it stays smooth, that quarter is fine. If it turns thick, jelly-like, or purple, that quarter has mastitis. Test all four quarters separately, preferably after milking. If one or more quarters are positive, start treatment and do not mix that milk with the rest.
