How do I fix a fair price?

Cow sale price depends mainly on milk yield, lactation stage, breed, age, and udder health. For a dairy cow in your area, a healthy Sahiwal or Gir usually gets a better price than an ordinary local cow, and an HF cross or Jersey cross can also fetch good money if milk yield is strong. First, milk her in front of the buyer, check all four quarters with a CMT test, and ask exactly which month of lactation she is in, because a cow in late lactation will soon drop in yield. Also check teeth, body condition, pregnancy status, and walking sound. If the price is above fifty thousand rupees, take a Pashumitra or vet with you. For a fair deal, compare two or three buyers before closing. If you want, I can help you judge the price from her breed, milk yield, age, and lactation stage.
