How do I price my buffalo?
Buffalo pricing depends mainly on milk yield, breed, pregnancy status, age, and body condition. For a dairy buffalo in your area, a Murrah usually sells around one lakh to three lakh rupees, Nili-Ravi around one and a half lakh to three lakh rupees, and Jaffarabadi around one and a half lakh to four lakh rupees. If she gives more milk, is in early lactation, and has a strong udder and good legs, you can ask higher. If she is thin, late in lactation, or has health issues, keep the price lower. Show her daily milk record, last calving date, and whether she is pregnant. If you want, list her on Pashushala and compare similar buffaloes before fixing the final rate.
