How much green fodder should I give?
For a fattening kid, keep the ration balanced with about fifty to sixty percent high quality green fodder and the rest dry fodder and concentrate. Give Napier, Berseem, or Lucerne if you have it, and always keep clean water nearby. If the kid is small, start with less green fodder and increase slowly so the stomach does not upset. If dung becomes loose or the kid stops eating, reduce the change and call a vet the same day.
