How much milk can she give after first calving?

After first calving, a good cow like Jassi can usually give around eight to twelve liters a day if she is a Sahiwal or Jersey cross type. A Gir may give about six to ten liters, and a good HF cross can give ten to twenty liters. The exact yield depends on breed, feed, and udder health. If you want steady milk every day, do not depend on one cow alone; plan two cows with staggered calvings. For a precise estimate, book a Pashu Vet on Pashushala or call the Kisan Call Centre on eighteen hundred one eight zero one five five one.
