How to increase milk production in cows
Low milk yield is usually from feed, milking routine, or hidden mastitis. First, give a balanced ration with good green fodder, enough dry fodder, concentrate, mineral mixture, and clean water all day. Keep feeding times fixed, and milk at the same time every day. Milk the cow completely, and keep the udder clean before and after milking. Do not change feed suddenly. If the cow is thin, in early lactation, or under heat stress, production will drop further, so give shade and cool water. If one quarter feels hard, hot, or the milk has flakes, treat it as mastitis and get it checked. Treating this now costs far less than the permanent milk loss if left untreated. If milk has not improved in a few days, book a ration check or a Pashu Vet on Pashushala for a proper exam.
