How to make a heifer come in heat
Heifer not coming in heat is usually a feeding or body condition issue. First, keep her on good green fodder, enough dry fodder, and a mineral mixture every day. She should not be too thin or too fat. Give regular exercise and keep her with other animals so heat signs are easier to see. Check for silent heat, worms, or uterine trouble if she has already calved before. If she is over fifteen months and still not cycling, or if she has no heat for two to three cycles, get a vet check for hormones, ovaries, and deworming.
