I have bought two buffalo from Rajasthan I live in harda MP . It's around 20 days but they have not started giving proper milk they are currently giving 4 to 5 liters of milk but they should give 7 to 8 the buffalos are of top quality one has had 35 days and one 15 . What should I do?

Post-calving milk letdown is still settling, and the feed balance is likely holding them back. In buffaloes, milk often improves over the first few weeks after calving, but if they are only on rough feed, low energy, or not enough mineral support, yield stays low. Give them good green fodder, enough dry fodder, and a proper concentrate mix in two to three feeds a day. Keep clean water always available, and make sure they are not hot or stressed, because buffaloes lose milk fast in heat. Check the udders for heat, pain, clots, or watery milk, because hidden mastitis can quietly cut yield. Also watch body condition; if they are too thin, milk will not rise quickly. Treating this now costs far less than the permanent milk loss if left untreated. If milk does not start rising in the next seven to ten days, or if the udder feels hard or painful, book a Pashu Vet on Pashushala for a proper check.
