Greenland cow is not a valid dairy breed for purchase here. For milk, choose Sahiwal, Gir, HF cross, or Jersey cross. In Banaskantha, Sahiwal and Gir suit heat well, and HF cross gives higher milk if you have good feed and cooling. Before paying, milk the cow in your presence, do a CMT test on all four quarters, check lactation month, and verify age and body condition. If the price is above fifty thousand rupees, take a Pashumitra or vet along.
