I want a Gir and Sahiwal mix plan

For a Gir and Sahiwal dairy plan, keep both breeds together in a hot Indian climate. Gir gives hardy A2 milk and Sahiwal gives steadier daily yield, so this is a good mix for a premium dairy. For ten milking cows, I would keep about six Gir and four Sahiwal if you want stronger A2 branding, or five and five if you want a more balanced milk flow. Buy only cows that are already in milk, milk them in your presence, check all four quarters with a CMT test, and ask which month of lactation they are in. A cow in the seventh or eighth month will drop yield soon. For consistent supply, do not buy all ten at once. Stagger calvings, because one cow gives peak milk only for a short period. If you want fifteen litres or more every day from the farm, plan for two cows at different lactation stages, not one. For any cow above fifty thousand rupees, take a Pashumitra or vet with you.
