For dairy, check the cow in your presence before paying. Milk her yourself, do a CMT test on all four quarters, ask which month of lactation she is in, and avoid a cow above seven years or one that is too thin. If you need fifteen litres consistently, one cow is not enough unless she is in peak months; two cows with staggered calvings are safer. For any purchase above ₹50,000, take a Pashumitra or registered vet along. Treating a bad purchase later costs far more than checking properly now.
