Brown buffalo is not a standard dairy breed choice. For milk, Murrah, Nili-Ravi, or Jaffarabadi are much better. If you still want a brown animal, check it only for dairy signs: healthy udder, regular milking, calm temperament, and no lameness. Do not buy on colour alone.
