I want to buy high quality cows that give milk for my foreign in Punjab
For Punjab, a high milk cow should be a strong dairy animal, not just a fancy-looking one. Go for HF cross, Jersey cross, Sahiwal, or Gir, depending on your budget and management. If you want higher daily milk and can manage good feed and cooling, HF cross is usually the practical choice. If you want a hardy Indian cow with better heat tolerance, Sahiwal or Gir is safer. Before paying, milk the cow in your presence, do a CMT test on all four quarters, ask which month of lactation she is in, and check age, body condition, and vaccination record. If you need fifteen liters or more consistently, remember one cow gives peak milk only in months two to three, so two cows with staggered calvings are better. For any cow above fifty thousand rupees, take a Pashumitra or vet with you before payment. Treating a bad purchase later costs much more than checking properly now.
