Use the chest girth and body length in centimeter. For a cow or buffalo, measure around the chest just behind the front legs, then measure from shoulder to pin bone. A common field estimate is body weight in kilogram equals chest girth multiplied by chest girth multiplied by body length, then divided by three hundred thousand.
