Jersey is a good dairy cow for your area if you want decent milk with better heat tolerance than HF. Generally she gives about eight to twenty liters per day, and first calving is around twenty four to thirty months. Before buying, milk her in your presence, do a CMT test on all four quarters, and ask which month of lactation she is in. If the price is above fifty thousand rupees, take a Pashumitra or vet with you.
