For HF cross dairy, buy a cow that is around three to five years old and already in milk. First, milk her in your presence. Then do CMT on all four quarters. Ask which month of lactation she is in, because milk drops fast after month seven or eight. Check body condition, udder shape, and teats. If the cow is above fifty thousand rupees, take a Pashumitra or vet with you. If you want steady fifteen litres or more, one cow is not enough; take two cows with staggered calvings.
