Milk related problems

Milk drop can come from feed shortage, heat stress, or mastitis. First check the udder for heat, pain, or clots in milk. Give clean water, green fodder, and enough concentrate. Keep the shed cool and dry. If one quarter is hard or milk has flakes, start mastitis care and keep that milk separate. If the drop is sudden, or there is fever, off feed, or swelling, it needs a vet today.
