Backyard poultry is the right way for your area. Start with Vanaraja, Giriraja, or Gramapriya for hardy birds and good eggs. Give dry litter, clean water, and a simple grower feed with kitchen grain only as a small extra. Keep chicks warm and away from rain and damp. Vaccinate on time for Marek’s, Newcastle disease, and Gumboro. If you want eggs fast, choose White Leghorn or BV-300. If you want birds for meat, Cobb or Ross is the usual choice.
