My buffalo not even coming to heat
Anestrus is likely here. First check if she is getting enough energy, mineral mixture, and clean water, because poor feeding is the commonest reason a buffalo does not come in heat. Keep her body condition moderate, not too thin and not too fat. Give green fodder, some dry fodder, and a proper mineral mix daily. Also watch for silent heat signs like mucus, restlessness, bellowing, tail raising, or standing to be mounted. If she calved recently, heat may be delayed for a few months, and if she has a uterine infection or a hidden ovarian problem, she will need a vet examination. If she has not shown heat for more than three months after calving, or if there is discharge, fever, or poor appetite, book a Pashu Vet on Pashushala. Treating this early is far cheaper than losing one breeding cycle and the next milk income.
