My cow not taking feed decreased milk yield , showing water content in milk

Milk drop with watery milk usually points to feed shortage, low energy intake, or early mastitis. First check the udder and each quarter for heat, pain, swelling, or clots in milk. Strip a little milk from each teat and see if one quarter is weaker. Give her good green fodder, enough dry fodder, and a mineral mixture today. Keep clean water always available. If she is eating less because of mouth sores, fever, or lameness, that needs attention too. If one quarter feels hard or painful, treat it as mastitis and get a vet to examine her. Treating this now costs far less than the permanent milk loss if left untreated.
