Our calf is suffering with lumpy skin disease
Lumpy skin disease is likely. Keep the calf away from the herd right now, because flies and close contact can spread it. Put the calf in a clean, shaded pen, give plenty of clean water, and control flies around the shed. Check the skin lumps, fever, eye discharge, and whether the calf is eating. Do not cut the lumps or apply harsh chemicals. If the calf has fever, is weak, or stops drinking, it needs a vet today because young calves can worsen fast. This can also reduce growth and future milk value if it is a heifer, so early care matters. Consult a veterinarian before administering any medicine or treatment.
