Punganur cow

Punganur is a small indigenous dairy cow, but for milk business I would not choose it first. It usually gives low milk compared with Sahiwal, Gir, HF cross, or Jersey cross. If you want steady daily milk, pick one of those instead. Before paying, milk the cow in your presence, do a CMT test on all four quarters, ask which month of lactation she is in, and check age and body condition. If the price is above fifty thousand rupees, take a Pashumitra or vet with you.
