she has fever

Fever in a two year old goat can be PPR, pneumonia, or tick fever. First, keep her separate, in shade, and give clean water with electrolytes. Check if she is coughing, has nasal discharge, mouth sores, loose motion, or stopped eating. If she is breathing fast, very weak, or not eating, she needs a vet today. Do not give any medicine on your own. Keep the shed dry and stop mixing her with other goats. If there are more goats, watch them too because PPR spreads fast. Treating early saves milk, weight, and the rest of the herd. Consult a veterinarian before administering any medicine or treatment.
