What is a fair price for a milking cow?

A fair dairy cow price depends on breed, milk yield, and lactation stage. For Sahiwal or Gir, a good milking cow is usually much higher than a low budget animal. For ten to twelve liters daily, expect a proper price in the higher range, not ten to twelve thousand rupees. Before paying, milk her in your presence, do a CMT test on all four quarters, and check lactation month. If you want, I can help you shortlist the right breed and budget.
