What should I check before buying?
Before paying, milk the cow in your presence and see the yield. Do a CMT test on all four quarters. Ask the lactation month, because month seven or eight cows fall fast in milk. Check age, body condition, last calving date, fertility record, and FMD and HS vaccination proof. If the deal is above fifty thousand rupees, take a Pashumitra or vet with you before payment.
