What should I check before paying?
Before paying, milk the cow in your presence and see each quarter separately. Do a CMT test on all four quarters. Ask which month of lactation she is in, because month seven or eight cows drop fast. Check age, body condition, last calving date, and FMD and HS vaccination proof. For any cow above fifty thousand rupees, take a Pashumitra or vet with you before payment.
